August is anything but a sleepy month at CREWC.
August 13, 14, 15 catch us in the community tent at the Ottawa Folk Festival. We’ll be grooving to the great music from 4-7pm on Friday, and 10am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. Folk Fest is held at Britannia Park (off Carling Avenue) Go to www.ottawafolk.org for ticket prices and concert times.
On August 14 we will also be at the Pakenham Fair from 9am to 5pm. The theme of the fair is Local Flavour. Katherine will speak at 11am about How to heal yourself with real food.
September 18th, Open House ~ Talk & Tour with a Twist
Talk: “A natural approach to flu prevention”, 2-3pm
Tour with a Twist 12:30-2pm: We’re inviting the candidates for Mayor of the City of Ottawa, along with local councillor candidates, to join us for an afternoon of active participation. Our plan is to give them a glimpse of a rural business in action; a taste of how natural health, the environment, education, and sustainability happen on the Carp Ridge. Stay afterwards (3-4pm) for tea and treats with the candidates.
We are proud of the contribution CREWC is making to the health of our community and our environment. Although we are physically “out-of-sight”, tucked away next to the ridge’s forest and wetlands, we are very much a part of many lives.
